Happiness is finding a tiny, friendly August tree in a place I have never been and come back in another lifetime to find a big, warm August tree to sit under with a cup of tea and chocolate chip cookies.

until I'm on the plane
that will take me home
to the rock by the pond that I sit on
to my santol tree
to the smell of the sea
to the heat of the sun
to hugs and laughter
of growing up
tomorrow,
it will be 19 more bedtimes....
